6-week Adult Classes
Our 6-week classes are a series of 6 classes that happen over the course of 6-weeks. For example, if you sign-up for a Monday Wheel-Throwing class, you will have classes every Monday for 6 consecutive weeks, assuming there are no holidays or breaks (they would be listed).
Registration for all 6-week classes closes one week prior to each session start date. Find more info about session dates here. A $10 late fee will be added for all registrations after this date. Contact the office for late registration.

Clay
General Class information
Each class meets for 2.5 hours each week for 6 weeks. Additional open studio time is available to students enrolled in a 6-week class. The instructor will provide the schedule. The class fee includes 25 lbs of clay, glaze, and 2 firings. Additional clay may be purchased separately by contacting the instructor. Register here. (If all classes are full, please join the waitlist! It lets us know if we would have enough interest to add another class!)

Beginning Wheel-throwing
This course is focused on the basic skills and techniques of throwing forms on a pottery wheel and developing an awareness of form. The class covers fundamental techniques of throwing bowls, cylindrical shapes and plates. Demonstrations lead students through throwing these basic forms and basic glazing techniques. No prerequisites.

Mixed Level Wheel-throwing
This class is an opportunity for experienced clay students to get critical feedback on their work. A willingness to accept suggestions and embrace new techniques, philosophies and approaches is recommended. Class time is spent on demonstrations, group discussions and individual feedback. Students are expected to continue their class work outside of the normal class time during available open studio hours throughout the session. The goal of the class is the individual evolution and improvement of each student.

Handbuilding & Altered Forms
This course will explore skills and techniques of handbuilding clay forms and techniques for altering both handbuilt and wheel thrown ceramics. It will cover the three main techniques of handbuilt construction: pinch, coil, and slab. Projects incorporate single techniques and combinations and will lead students through creating varied forms and glazing techniques. No prerequisites.

Currently, we have no available scholarship spots for our adult 6-week classes. If you want to apply for future consideration when more spots do become available, fill out this form, email it to us with the other documents required, and we will put you on our list for when spots open up! |
REFUND POLICY
If you cancel before the registration deadline (in enough advance), you will receive a full refund. If you would rather, you may be able to switch to a different available class in the same session. No refunds or credits are given after the registration deadline. If a class or workshop is canceled due to COVID-19, a full refund will be given, or you can save the payment for a later class. |
CANCELATION POLICY
When inclement weather occurs, class cancellations will be decided by the Instructor of the class. If WE cancel any 6-week classes due to weather or COVID-19, they will be made up at a later date. If class is not canceled, but a student feels unsafe traveling, they can stay home, but NO make-up class will be provided. We encourage you to make up any lost time during open studio hours and ask about any material missed during the following class.
